Responsibilities
- Identify, qualify, and deliver new business opportunities through in-person and virtual sales calls, networking, and other forms of lead generation
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners
- Positively represent the Davis & Floyd brand at industry conferences, networking events, and corporate functions. Overnight travel will occasionally be required
- Work closely with business development leadership and teammates
- Collaborate with the engineering team to convert opportunities to signed contracts and ensure client requirements are met
- Collaborate with the marketing team to assist in messaging, social media, strategy, and presentation preparation
- Use a company provided CRM to track contacts, leads, client communications and deals
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining products or services to customers
- Monitor and evaluate industry trends and customer drivers
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the architecture, engineering, and/or construction fields
- Working knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Skilled in tactful persistence
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid Driver's License required
