The RoleWe’re looking for a resourceful, curious Business Development Intern to join our Toronto team. You’ll work directly with our SVP and Strategy team on the work that drives our growth: shaping strategic narratives, building sales materials, researching new markets, and supporting pipeline development. If you want a hands-on look at how a B2B technology business scales, this role puts you at the center of it.
What You’ll Do
Partner with the SVP and Strategy team on internal business initiatives, strategic narratives, and sales prospecting strategy.
Build clear, concise, and visually compelling sales decks, use case presentations, and collateral.
Conduct market research on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive positioning.
Identify target customers and market segments, research key accounts, map decision-makers, and develop customer profiles.
Explore use cases and market whitespace to uncover new vertical opportunities for ShyftLabs.
Draft engaging LinkedIn and social media content covering product updates, brand messaging, and thought leadership.
Execute targeted email campaigns and outreach to support lead generation and pipeline growth.
What We’re Looking For
Currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from, a business-related program at a college or university.
Strong presentation and slide-building skills.
Clear, concise writing.
Analytical and research skills.
Self-motivated and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
