What you'll do

To fuel our growth in an increasingly AI-powered world, In The Pocket is hiring a forward-thinking Business Developer. In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of identifying and unlocking high-impact opportunities with top-tier clients and connecting with senior decision-makers to shape their digital strategies and align business goals with technological innovation, client expectations, and the possibilities of AI. As part of a seasoned sales and marketing team that values initiative, insight, and continuous learning, you’ll have the opportunity to grow into a trusted advisor for tomorrow’s digital leaders.

Your mission is to expand In The Pocket’s footprint in Belgium and beyond by:

  • Connecting with digital decision-makers at leading organisations to spark impactful partnerships.
  • Uncovering strategic challenges and identifying where digital innovation can make a real difference.
  • Gaining a deep understanding of each client’s ecosystem: their structure, goals, and digital maturity.
  • Earning the role of trusted advisor through strategic thinking and value-driven conversations.
  • Leading pre-sales efforts to craft & shape compelling, tailored proposals—together by collaborating closely with internal teams
  • Securing budgets that empower us to build high-quality, digital products with measurable impact.
Who you are
  • You have a strong passion for digital and a genuine interest in helping clients solve complex business challenges through innovation.
  • Your curiosity is boundless: you quickly absorb new concepts and thrive in dynamic, tech-driven environments.
  • You’re a natural communicator & storyteller: clear, persuasive, and confident—whether in a boardroom or on stage.
  • You adapt easily to different business contexts and are comfortable engaging with C-level stakeholders.
  • You’re fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
  • You leverage the latest developments in AI to accelerate & augment your work and achieve higher results. 
  • You bring experience in consultative selling or management consulting—ideally within a digital studio, agency, or a larger consultancy firm.
  • You have a proven ability to sell complex service offerings, ideally in areas like digital strategy, UX design, AI & machine learning, or software engineering (Mobile, Web, XR, Cloud).
  • Navigating commercial negotiations and complex deal structures feels familiar, and you’re confident handling contractual terms and risk assessments.
  • You have an active network of decision-makers across industries and know how to turn relationships into lasting partnerships.

Skills Required

  • Experience in consultative selling or management consulting
  • Proven ability to sell complex service offerings
  • Fluency in Dutch and English, both written and spoken
  • Experience in digital strategy, UX design, AI & machine learning, or software engineering
