We're a group of friends building apps for friends, and we think friendship deserves a better place online. Our brand is how the world first meets that idea, usually in a three-second scroll, in a language that isn't ours, on a phone in a city we've never been to.
We're looking for a Brand Lead who writes like a dream and ships like a machine. Someone who's run global campaigns at a top agency, knows what a great brief feels like, and is ready to trade the client side of the table for owning the whole thing.
You'll shape how amo sounds, looks and shows up everywhere, from a two-word push notification to a launch film watched in fifteen countries.
Own the amo voice. Write it, guard it, and make it better every week. App copy, launch posts, store listings, social, scripts, the little lines that make people smile.
Run global campaigns end to end. From the first idea on a napkin to the last cut in market, across Europe, the US and beyond.
Brief and push creative partners. Agencies, directors, creators and our in-house design team. You know how to get their best work because you've been on their side of the table.
Make the brand local without making it boring. Adapt ideas so they land in Paris, London, LA and Seoul, not just translate them.
Measure what the brand is really doing. Set up and run brand tracking across our markets, following awareness, consideration and perception over time, and turn what you learn into the next brief.
Work in days, not weeks. Spot a moment on Tuesday, have a campaign live on Thursday, learn from it on Friday.
Sweat the details. Easter eggs, onboarding screens, the name of a feature. Small words do big work here.
Kicking off a campaign with an agency for our next market launch, and setting up the tracker that tells us a month later whether people there know who we are and like what they see.
A writer first. You can make a headline sing and kill your darlings without blinking. Your portfolio proves it.
Agency-trained. You've spent real time at a creative agency and worked on brands people actually know. You've sat in the pitch, survived the feedback round and shipped anyway.
Global from day one. You've led or played a key role in campaigns that ran across several markets at once, and you know what changes (and what never should) from one country to the next.
Fast and opinionated. Conviction over consensus. You'd rather put out something great today than something perfect next month.
Fluent in internet. You know what's trending before it trends, and you can tell the difference between a moment worth joining and one worth skipping.
Bilingual or better is a plus. English is our working language. French, Spanish, Portuguese, Korean or Japanese would make us very happy.
You've worked on a consumer app, built a brand from scratch, or have a group chat that's funnier than most ad campaigns.
You'll own it. No account director, no client sign-off chain. Your ideas go from your head to millions of phones.
You'll move fast. We make decisions quickly and learn from mistakes even quicker. Intense, but healthy.
You'll be in good company. Over half the team is international, with 25 nationalities and counting. One in four of us moved cities or countries to be here.
You'll grow x10. Colleagues across product, design, engineering and growth will challenge your work every day, and you'll do the same to theirs.
You'll have backing. We're supported by some of the best tier-1 investors in the world and growing at a pace our space hasn't seen in years.
To ensure that everyone is set up for success within our way of working, we work together onsite 5 days a week. We wanted to make sure coming to the office is as comfortable as possible for you:
We chose a location in central Paris, near Opera (Metro lines 3,8,9 and RER A).
We have a beautiful Parisian-style office with high ceilings, balconies, and huge windows. So a lot of natural light!
We reimburse your commuting expenses 50%.
Because life outside of work should also be stress-free, we cover:
Health care (100% coverage).
Maternity Leave, Paternity Leave, Second Parent Leave (salary maintained at 100%).
Vacation days: 8-9 weeks (total) per year - (European summer? 🥹😎).
5 weeks of paid time off (by the state);
1-2 additional weeks (RTT, based on our company contract);
~11 bank holidays.
We shut down entirely twice a year, two weeks in the summer and one week in the winter to allow everyone to truly recharge and to avoid prolonged slowdowns (especially in the summer). This enables everyone to actually disconnect and enjoy their vacation. No Slack, no email, no FOMO. Per French standard, we also offer another 4 weeks to allow team members to choose when they want to take time off.
Send us your CV and a portfolio, plus one thing you'd rewrite on our website or in our app, and why. Keep it short. We'll know.

What We Do
Welcome to amo The bike rides. The sleepovers. Your first cigarette. Gossiping about your latest crush. Being consoled when they break your heart. Discovering a new city. Re-discovering your own (at 2AM). The hungover brunches. The tears. The laughs. The love. So many of the moments that shaped us were shared with friends. And then those moments started happening online. Posting photos from last night’s party. Tagging your latest situationship. Poking your roommate (whatever that means??). It was exciting and well intentioned, but something got lost along the way. The platforms that were built to bring friends closer together became places we go to scroll through videos… of strangers. We’re entertained, but where did our friends go? A new kind of social company We believe that friendship still deserves a place online. Our first app, ID, brought a new take on the social profile, providing a collaborative board for you and your friends to express yourselves on. And our second app, Bump, is the best map for friends — giving you a new home on your phone for the people and places most important to you. With Sugar, chatting with friends goes beyond the confines of a green or blue bubble. Drop whatever you want on an unlimited canvas, turning any conversation into art. Together, the apps form the beginning of a new kind of social company. One that exists across multiple apps, but only one you. And with many more ideas for new ways to bring you closer to your friends. We’re going to experiment, build, re-build again, and no doubt get lots wrong along the way. But we hope that what we get right earns its place on your home screen — as a new collection of apps that serve you and your friends above all else. On amo, your profile, friendships, and settings are shared across the apps. Trying a new one takes no time at all as your info (and your friends!) are already waiting for you. When we have new ideas, we won’t be constrained by an ever-growing tab bar and the four corners of just one app. We’ll make something entirely new and give you the choice on whether to use it or not. Take what you need, ignore what you don’t. We feel a real responsibility when it comes to creating stuff for you and your friends — and doing so the right way. We believe that the company that survives long term in this space is the one that aligns itself closest with your best interests. So to keep ourselves accountable, we developed some principles that guide what we do.
