We have migrated over to modern data architecture within the Microsoft Cloud (Azure) and need skilled and enthusiastic data engineers to support our on-going innovation and development. 

Job Description

If successful for this role, you will be responsible for creating and handling scalable data pipelines, assuring data quality, and maximizing data processing performance within various data integration solutions.

You will also work closely with the wider IT team such as data analysts, and software developers, to provide them with the data they need to perform their job functions, and understand the nature of the data that they need you to pull in.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in SQL and other data query languages
• Strong data management foundation and specialized skills in Azure cloud computing.
• Experience with Azure data storage solutions, such as Azure SQL, Azure Cosmos DB , Azure Data Lake
• Experience with data integration tools to include Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks
• Experience in designing and hands-on development in cloud-based analytics solutions.
• Designing and building of data pipelines using API ingestion
• Experience of Migrating from hand-rolled Code-based ETL processes to modern Azure Cloud Computing solutions
• Knowledge of Microsoft BI Stack (SSRS/SSAS/SSIS) is desirable.
• Knowledge of general purpose coding languages ( python / .NET / C#) is desirable
• Familiarity with data processing frameworks
• Working with Sensitive Data , and Data Governance / Access Control
• Understanding of data modelling and schema design principles
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
