Life-Science Innovations has a full-time opportunity for an AX/D365 Technical Architect to join their team.
 

This role will lead efforts to design, provision, configure, develop, implement and maintain Microsoft Dynamics AX and D365, including development of solutions for processes. This position will have the opportunity to provide technical leadership by championing D365 and Microsoft AX solutions within Life-Science Innovations by partnering with stakeholders and affiliates to understand their needs.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Listen and understand customer business objectives and design compelling and effective D365 solutions to meet needs through strong leadership, critical thinking and curiosity-driven innovation.
  • Provides architectural modeling for the AX and D365 stack.
  • Work with Business Process Owners, Business Analysts and Functional Architects to provide guidance on solution design, configuration and implementation.
  • Provide Tier III/other support per request from various constituencies. Investigate and troubleshoot issues.
  • Creates and maintains application and technical specification and design documentation through SDLC process.
  • Maintains code branching methodology for code propagation through environments.
  • Package Microsoft Dynamics 365 customizations into deployable objects.
  • Develops and maintains sound change and release management for all changes.
  • Provides technical guidance/expertise/coaching to team members or less experienced AX/D365 developers. Leads recovery efforts when solutions implemented need corrective action.

The ideal candidate will have the following educational and experience background:

  • Associates degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or related field, or equivalent work experience. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Significant hands-on experience designing, managing & supporting a Dynamics system, including software programming and development.
  • An advanced understanding of financial systems, AX/D365 system capabilities and business processes. Experience with multiple project management methodologies.
  • Azure DevOps pipeline management.
  • Deep understanding of Microsoft AX and Dynamics 365 platform and other solutions in the areas of supply chain, procurement, manufacturing operations and finance. 
  • Dynamics AX system functionality; Dynamics AX job and service module experience. 
  • Able to translate customer needs into requirements for new system solutions.
  • Build data structures that optimize performance, scalability and maintainability.
  • Certification in Dynamics 365F&O or AX preferred.
