Goldschmitt is seeking an AWS Cloud Architect

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, implement, and maintain AWS cloud environments supporting enterprise/SaaS applications
- Participate in application and cloud architecture design and implementation
- Manage production, staging, development, testing, and other application environments within AWS
- Design cloud architectures that support scalability, availability, security, performance, and reliability
- Implement and maintain AWS Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes
- Implement and manage application user authentication and authorization methods
- Design and maintain databases, data models, queries, and supporting scripts
- Identify and implement application and infrastructure modifications necessary to meet FedRAMP and other applicable security and compliance requirements
- Implement and maintain AWS account, application-level, compliance, and tenant monitoring
- Implement and manage AWS identity, access controls, roles, policies, and permissions following least-privilege principles
- Implement and maintain cloud infrastructure monitoring, logging, metrics, alerting, and operational dashboards
- Monitor cloud environments for availability, performance, security, capacity, and cost
- Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure, networking, deployment, configuration, and availability issues
- Implement backup, recovery, resiliency, and disaster recovery capabilities
- Design and implement automated tenant management and provisioning capabilities
- Support both AWS Commercial and AWS GovCloud environments
- Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to identify requirements, resolve technical issues, and recommend improvements
- Strong experience designing, implementing, and managing production AWS environments.
- Experience supporting cloud-hosted enterprise and/or SaaS applications
- Experience designing and managing secure, scalable, highly available AWS architectures
- Experience with containerized application environments and cloud deployment architectures
- Experience implementing cloud security, identity and access management, monitoring, logging, and alerting
- Experience with CI/CD and automated deployment processes
- Experience supporting cloud environments subject to security and compliance requirements
- Possess at least 7 years of professional IT, cloud engineering, infrastructure, and DevOps experience
- Possess a Bachelor's degree
- Possess the ability to pass and maintain eligibility for a Public Trust investigation, including United States citizenship
- Possess experience with the following:
- Technologies: API Management
- AWS Technologies: ECS, Application Load Balancers, Lambda Functions, CDK, IAM, Secrets Manager, CloudWatch, RDS, Simple Notification Service (SNS), CloudFront
- Platforms: AWS, Docker Containers
- Databases: MySQL, NoSQL
- Tools: Git, CI/CD, Swagger/OpenAPI, JUnit
- Possess experience with the following:
- Programming Languages: Node.js
- AWS Technologies: AWS GovCloud, CloudFormation, Simple Email Service (SES), Cognito, API Gateway, Security Hub, GuardDuty, AWS Step Functions
- Observability: distributed tracing (X-Ray or OpenTelemetry)
- Databases: Redis, DynamoDB
- Compliance & Security: FedRAMP, ATO
Skills Required
- At least 7 years of professional IT, cloud engineering, infrastructure, and DevOps experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Ability to pass and maintain eligibility for a Public Trust investigation
