Overview of Role
Rothschild & Co is an organization that demands a high-quality, responsive and agile IT service to meet the needs of its banking professionals. We are looking for an Avaloq Release Manager to support the reliable operation and continued development of our Avaloq platform and IT services.
The successful candidate will take a hands-on role within IT Operations, with responsibility for the planning, coordination and execution of Avaloq releases and associated operational activities of the bank’s client-facing and internal applications and services.
The candidate should have proven Avaloq Release Management experience, be proactive and capable of taking ownership and working independently as part of a team.
Main Responsibilities & Tasks
- Planning, coordination and execution of Avaloq Weekly Releases, Monthly Releases and Hot-Fixes.
- Preparation, coordination and operation of Avaloq DEV, ST, UAT and Production environments.
- Execution and monitoring of Avaloq BGP and End-of-Day processing.
- Operational oversight of Avaloq interfaces and connectivity to internal and external systems.
- Coordination and execution of Avaloq platform deployments, including ICE and Smart Client.
- OS Administration across Windows, Linux and OpenShift platforms.
- Continuous improvement of the bank’s applications systems and processes.
- Collaboration with external parties who provide infrastructure and/or services.
Education and Qualifications
- IT education or advanced training in IT with several years of relevant experience.
Required Experience, Skills and Competencies
- Proven experience in Avaloq Release Management, including the planning, coordination and execution of Weekly Releases, Monthly Releases and Hot-Fixes.
- Strong operational knowledge of Avaloq BGP and End-of-Day processing.
- Experience in the preparation and operation of Avaloq DEV, ST, UAT and Production environments.
- Good knowledge of Avaloq interfaces, Anonymization and Avaloq scripting.
- Strong knowledge of Linux, Oracle and PL/SQL.
- Run the Bank knowledge and ability to drive forward operational efficiency and improvement.
- Strong team player with an ability to establish and maintain a high level of trust and confidence amongst peers and colleagues.
- Ability to solve problems independently, efficiently and completely, providing clear updates to management and business users.
- Solid written and spoken communication skills in English (German is a plus).
