S&W’s Assurance and Business Services Team provides wide-reaching Assurance & Business Services to a diverse client base ranging from small businesses and family enterprise start-ups to non-profit organisations, across a range of industries, in the UK and internationally. The team assists clients with their financial, compliance and regulatory matters and ensures compliance with reporting obligations. S&W is seeking an Associate to join its Assurance and Business Services Team in the Dublin office. The Associate will be responsible for assisting client finance teams with their assurance and audit requirements at every stage of business growth, including major transactions and restructuring.

Accordingly, the Associate’s day-to-day duties and responsibilities will include:

• Working as part of a team to undertake a variety of audit and accountancy tasks.
• Developing an understanding of S&W’s clients and their business portfolios.
• Keeping senior stakeholders informed of project updates.
• Becoming familiar with S&W’s audit and accounting software.
• Resolving audit and accountancy queries.
• Prioritising tasks and monitoring time against budget.

To be eligible the individual must possess the following:

• Experience in an accountancy environment.
• A third level qualification in Accounting, Finance, Tax, Law, Business, or a related discipline.

• A strong academic record with a minimum 2:2 honours degree.
• Pursuing the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) or Chartered Accountants Ireland (CAI) qualification.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
