What You Will Contribute:
 

Associate Product Manager 

About the Role 

This position supports strategy and planning, market and competitive analysis, pricing execution, and broader product line initiatives for assigned product lines. The Associate Product Manager partners closely with engineering, sales, and marketing communications teams to keep the product line competitive and aligned with customer needs. 

Main Responsibilities 

1. Support Product Line Strategy & Planning 

  • Contribute to the development of short- and long-range business plans for assigned product lines consistent with market needs and corporate strategic plans. 
  • Track portfolio performance and flag emerging opportunities or gaps for leadership review. 
  • Assist in the definition and communication of market and customer requirements through interaction with Project Teams, Business Teams, and other departments to support market success. 

 

2. Market Research, Voice of Customer & Competitive Analysis 

  • Conduct market research and customer interviews, and synthesize Voice of Customer themes to help identify future product needs. 
  • Research competitive and market-related material in support of developing marketing specifications for assigned products. 
  • Maintain working knowledge of competitive products and industry trends to support the development of competitive analysis and counter-strategies for assigned products. 

 

3. Product Life Cycle Management & Pricing 

  • Maintain a strong working understanding of assigned product lines and the total and available market, sufficient to support product life cycle management activities. 
  • Lead execution of approved pricing changes for assigned products, monitoring price realization and market response. 
  • Help develop product pricing policy recommendations based on established gross margin objectives, and support the preparation of margin improvement plans where necessary. 

 

 

 

4. Marketing, Promotion & Market Representation 

  • Support the development of product promotional items, including trade show participation, product literature, training content, and product distribution plans, to achieve Business Plan objectives. 
  • Attend technical symposiums and exhibits to maintain knowledge of available and competitive technology, and present insights appropriate to promote products. 

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. 
  • 2 – 4 years of experience in a product management, product marketing, or related support role. 
  • Working financial literacy; able to interpret a P&L and understand how product decisions affect volume, revenue, and margin. 
  • Advanced skill level in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint 
  • Working knowledge of AI-assisted tools to support market research, competitive analysis, content development, and reporting. 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Background in water treatment, measurement, or distribution segments. 
  • Experience in water or adjacent water technology markets. 

 

Travel: 10–15% travel required.
