About the Role
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will support the development, optimization, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes that enable the production of innovative semiconductor technologies and products. Working in a cross-functional environment, you will collaborate with engineering, operations, quality, and manufacturing teams to improve process performance, product quality, yield, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing and production processes.
Identify opportunities to improve process efficiency, product quality, reliability, and yield through data-driven analysis and problem solving.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Design Engineering, Operations, Quality, Test Engineering, and Product Engineering to address manufacturing challenges and support product development activities.
Analyze process performance and manufacturing data to identify trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities.
Contribute to process qualification, validation, and production readiness activities for new and existing products.
Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, work instructions, process specifications, and standard operating procedures.
Support risk assessment and mitigation efforts to ensure successful product and process implementation.
Apply statistical methods and engineering principles to optimize processes and improve operational performance.
Assist with new product introduction (NPI), process transfers, and manufacturing scale-up activities.
Participate in troubleshooting efforts and drive corrective and preventive actions to resolve technical issues.
Must Have Skills
Knowledge of manufacturing, process engineering, production operations, or industrial systems through coursework, projects, internships, or work experience.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret technical and process-related data.
Understanding of engineering fundamentals, process improvement methodologies, and manufacturing principles.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
Effective communication and collaboration skills in a cross-functional team environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar productivity tools.
Preferred Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
0-2 years of relevant experience in manufacturing engineering, process engineering, operations engineering, production engineering, or related technical disciplines.
Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC), Design of Experiments (DOE), Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or related methodologies.
Experience with manufacturing, assembly, semiconductor, process development, test, or production environments through internships, academic projects, or industry experience.
Exposure to manufacturing execution systems (MES), data analysis tools, or process monitoring systems.
Familiarity with CAD software, engineering analysis tools, or process simulation tools.
Experience supporting new product introduction (NPI), process qualification, or manufacturing transfer activities.
Knowledge of quality systems, root cause analysis, failure analysis, or continuous improvement techniques.

The expected wage range for a new hire into this position is $64,000 to $88,000.
