Job Description

Role Overview  

We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of mission-critical and data centre projects across Hong Kong and the wider Asia region.

Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, you will play a key role in coordinating project activities from planning and design through construction, testing & commissioning, and final handover. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to complex data centre projects while working alongside experienced industry professionals.

Key Responsibilities  

  • Support the Project Manager and project team in the successful delivery of data centre, critical facilities, and MEP-led construction projects.

  • Coordinate project activities throughout the project lifecycle, including planning, design development, procurement, construction, testing & commissioning, and handover.

  • Monitor project schedules, milestones, and key deliverables to ensure timely project execution.

  • Assist in managing project risks, issues, and change control processes.

  • Prepare project documentation, including reports, meeting minutes, action trackers, project dashboards, and client presentations.

  • Coordinate communication and information flow between clients, consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

  • Participate in project meetings, workshops, and site inspections, ensuring project objectives and actions are clearly tracked and communicated.

  • Assist in reviewing technical submissions, construction programmes, method statements, testing & commissioning plans, and project progress reports.

  • Support project governance, reporting, budgeting, and cost tracking activities.

  • Ensure project documentation is maintained accurately within project management systems and digital platforms.

  • Promote best practices in health, safety, quality, and risk management throughout project delivery.

  • Support the successful transition of projects into operational readiness and client handover.

Qualifications

Requirements  

  • Degree in Building Services Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.

  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in project management, project coordination, construction, building services, MEP, or data centre-related projects.

  • Experience working on data centres, critical facilities, mission-critical environments, or large-scale MEP projects would be highly advantageous.

  • Good understanding of project delivery processes across design, procurement, construction, testing & commissioning, and handover phases.

  • Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.

  • A collaborative team player who works effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, and cross-functional project teams.

  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced project environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and SharePoint.

  • Knowledge of project management software such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P6 is an advantage.

  • Fluency in both English and Chinese (written and spoken).
