Job Description

The Assistant Production Coordinator will work on set and in the production office, coordinating travel, transport and accommodation and dealing with general office administration, under the supervision of the Production Coordinator. Primary job duties and responsibilities will be to:

• Help coordinate travel, accommodation, work permits, visas, medical examinations and any immunisations for principal crew and cast

• Carry out general production tasks, including typing, filing, answering the telephone, and other related office duties 

• Assist the Production Coordinator in preparing and distributing shooting schedules, crew and cast lists, call sheets, production reports, movement orders, scripts and script revisions 

• Maintain time and action calendars-highlighting potential lateness and corrective actions, if possible

• Communicate with vendors on a daily basis regarding production follow-up to ensure delivery commitments are met

• Book studio facilities and equipment

• Obtain permission to use copyrighted music or film clips

Qualifications

Qualifications and competencies include:

• Bachelor of Arts or Science degree preferred

• At least 2 years’ related experience 

• Strong prioritizing and problem solving skills

• Critical attention to details and deadlines

• Ability to multi-task successfully, under often high-pressure situation

• Strong organisational skills

• Excellent attention to detail

• Proficiency in administration 

• Ability to work without supervision and use own initiative

• Some maths skills, for working with budgets and accounts
