What You’ll Do:
Operational Excellence
- Oversee daily operations across HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical divisions within the assigned area
- Lead department managers to ensure consistent execution of company standards, processes, and operational KPIs
- Monitor performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement corrective action plans
- Drive technician productivity, operational efficiency, service quality, and customer satisfaction
- Maintain an active field presence, supporting managers and ensuring accountability at every level
- Drive area-level revenue, gross profit, labor productivity, and expense targets
- Review operational and financial performance regularly, identifying trends and opportunities to improve profitability
- Hold department managers accountable for key performance indicators, including conversion rates, average tickets, callbacks, and technician productivity
- Partner with the RGM to execute business plans, manage resources, and achieve financial objectives
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and maximize performance
- Directly supervise, coach, and develop HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical Department Managers
- Establish clear expectations, provide ongoing feedback, and hold managers accountable for results
- Build leadership bench strength and support succession planning
- Partner with Recruiting and HR to attract, hire, develop, and retain top operational talent
- Foster a culture of ownership, teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Ensure consistent delivery of World Class Service across all divisions
- Monitor customer satisfaction, service quality, and recurring customer concerns
- Partner with department managers to resolve escalated issues and implement lasting solutions
- Reinforce safety, professionalism, and company standards across field operations
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Work closely with the RGM to execute regional priorities and operational initiatives
- Partner with Recruiting, Training, Marketing, Finance, and other support teams to improve business performance
- Support staffing plans, training initiatives, and operational improvements
- Communicate performance results, challenges, and opportunities to regional leadership
- 5+ years of progressive operational leadership experience, preferably in residential home services or a related service industry
- Proven ability to lead, develop, and hold managers accountable
- Strong understanding of operational KPIs, financial performance, labor productivity, and profitability
- Experience managing HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, or similar field service operations
- Hands-on leadership style with a willingness to be actively involved in daily operations
- Data-driven, decisive, and comfortable addressing performance challenges
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to balance customer experience, employee engagement, and financial results
- Experience with ServiceTitan or similar field service management software preferred
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the assigned area
