Aggregate Sales Representative
Job Overview
The Aggregate Sales Representative is responsible for selling Little River Materials products across multiple industries while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. This role focuses on maximizing market share, optimizing pricing, and expanding the customer base. The company is committed to delivering high-quality materials with reliable service at competitive prices. Extensive travel throughout the assigned territory is required. This position is based in Millbrook, AL.

Responsibilities
- Assist customers in selecting the most appropriate materials for their projects
- Build and maintain relationships with key aggregate buyers to meet customer needs and achieve sales goals (price, tonnage, revenue)
- Prepare and communicate quotes, sales reports, expense reports, and other required sales data
- Develop new business and expand market share within the assigned territory
- Support sales leadership in developing monthly and annual sales plans
- Maintain regular contact with customers to strengthen relationships and retain market share
- Coordinate with operations to ensure product availability and adequate inventory levels
- Follow all company and customer safety guidelines, especially when visiting job sites
- Collaborate with accounting on new accounts and accounts receivable
- Communicate with operations regarding material availability and customer demand
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, or a related field preferred
- 2–3 years of sales experience in the aggregates industry or a related field preferred (not required)
- Ability to travel as needed
- Basic understanding of aggregate products, plant operations, quality control, and dispatch processes
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build and maintain customer relationships
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and internal systems
- Self-motivated with strong organizational, planning, and time management skills
- Knowledge of pricing strategies, sales forecasting, and performance metrics
- Ability to assist in preparing accurate sales reports and forecasts
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
Physical Qualifications
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the workday
- Ability to navigate uneven terrain, including job sites, quarries, and plant environments
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds (e.g., samples, materials, or equipment)
- Ability to use standard office equipment, including computers, phones, and tablets
- Ability to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity, such as typing and handling documents
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, dust, and noise)
