Role overview

Agentic engineering changes how software is built and how organizations operate. We're designing and building agentic engineering systems that can reason, use tools, interact with enterprise environments and execute complex workflows.

We're looking for an Agentic Architect who wants to solve complex technical challenges, push the boundaries of what's possible with bleeding edge agentic technologies and help organizations turn emerging capabilities into reliable, production-ready solutions.

In collaboration with our engineering team, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping architectural strategies, guiding technical decisions, coaching team members and establishing the foundations needed to bring agentic engineering systems into real-world enterprise environments.

This role is for someone who enjoys staying close to the technology while influencing the bigger picture. Someone who can make sound architectural decisions today while questioning what better approaches might look like tomorrow.

Why this role matters

    Agentic Engineering is evolving quickly, and many of the architectural decisions that will shape its solves still need to be made.

    At Osedea, you'll have the opportunity to work on these challenges directly, alongside people who are equally curious about what's next. You'll move between experimentation, architectural decisions, and real client implementations, helping define approaches that can be applied across projects and industries.

    You'll have room to influence technical direction, challenge established ways of working, and contribute to how we build AI systems as the technology evolves.

Your key responsibilities

  • Work with clients and technical teams to understand their software engineering practices, identify opportunities to improve them with agentic engineering, and define the architectures, tools, and approaches needed to make those improvements happen.
  • Modernize best practices from traditional software engineering into Agentic Engineering’s latest standards and protocols, including best practices for agents, skills, harnesses, observability and scaling.
  • Design, Develop and Scale Software Factories and other Agentic Engineering systems.
  • Act as a trusted technical partner, translating complex business challenges into pragmatic enterprise solutions and facilitating informed technology decisions;
  • Collaborate hands-on with multidisciplinary teams, challenging ideas, reviewing designs, prototyping approaches, and helping solve difficult technical problems;
  • Help shape and evolve Osedea's engineering practices through agentic engineering , experimentation, reusable tools and architectures, and knowledge sharing. Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and adapt approaches as the field evolves.
  • Design and guide the implementation of reliable, secure, and scalable enterprise software, using agentic AI architectures.

The ideal candidate

  • You bring extensive experience in software development and architecture (typically 10+ years), with a strong track record of designing complex, distributed, or enterprise-scale systems.
  • You have strong architectural judgment.  You can translate complex business challenges into scalable architectural solutions while balancing innovation, feasibility and business value;
  • You've moved beyond experimenting with LLMs and have hands-on experience designing, building, or deploying agentic engineering solutions. You understand the challenges that emerge when moving from prototypes to production.
  • You can lead technical conversations with both senior stakeholders and development teams, explain trade-offs clearly, and build confidence in your recommendations.
  • You enjoy having the autonomy to make an impact without relying on a formal hierarchy. You're comfortable taking initiative, challenging ideas constructively, and learning from your peers.
  • You're passionate about emerging AI technologies, enjoy exploring new approaches and continuously challenge your own assumptions;
  • You communicate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences and communicate professionally in both French and English.
  • You thrive in environments that are fast paced and where technology is quickly evolving. You’re not afraid of reinventing the way you work and exploring new technologies.
  • We care about what you've built, the decisions you've made, and how you approach unfamiliar problems. Your technical judgment, curiosity, and ability to turn ideas into working systems matter more to us than a particular degree or technology stack.

You should be proficient with

  • Agentic architectures: Designing autonomous and semi-autonomous agents, multi-agent coordination, orchestration, tool execution, planning, memory, and context management.
  • LLM application development: Working with foundation models, RAG, embeddings, structured outputs, tool calling, context engineering, A2A, ACP and MCP.
  • Agent frameworks and orchestration: Experience with technologies such as LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, AutoGen, CrewAI, or equivalent approaches, with the ability to evaluate when to use a framework versus a custom solution.
  • Software architecture: Strong foundations in distributed systems, APIs, event-driven architectures, integration patterns, authentication, authorization, and enterprise security.
  • Cloud platforms: Experience designing and deploying solutions on Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud, including their AI services and infrastructure.
  • Production AI systems: Designing for evaluation, observability, failure recovery, human oversight, reliability, latency, cost optimization, and continuous improvement.

What we offer

  • Flexible hours of work and choose how you work
  • Work from anywhere up to 8 weeks
  • Paid sabbatical
  • Wellness and productivity spending account
