Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Model-Based Systems Engineer to join our team! In this role you will be part of a talented and mission oriented professional team of federal engineers, active-duty Naval Officers and Contract staff who are willing to roll up their sleeves and get missile defense capability out to the Fleet.  You will also be part of a team of some of the best and brightest Engineers and scientists our country has to offer. 


What You'll Be Doing:

  • Leads the pilot efforts of incorporating Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) and digital engineering into the A-BD system.
  • Leads the development of a sysML A-BD System model for use in architecture definition, requirements development, and requirements verification.
  • Oversee developing program specific representations within the A-BD System model being a liaison between digital engineering, requirements engineering, and the modeler.
  • Provides implementation guidance and system understanding and facilitates interaction between the communities.
  • Oversees sysML model of the A-BD Engineering organization and its processes in support of a more dynamic and responsive Systems Engineering Team.
  • The Lead Systems Engineer drives the continuous digital transformation of the fleet's premier combat system.
  • The primary mission of this role is to integrate a vast array of technical, operational, and intelligence functions, ensuring the Aegis-Based Defense remains effective against evolving threats and delivers a decisive advantage to the warfighter.
  • This pivotal role is responsible for leading the adoption of modern frameworks and tools, with a focus on Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • US Citizenship with Active Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical/scientific discipline degree related to area of specialty and 5+ years of related professional experience
    • NOTE: Newly-hired PhD graduates are typically hired into this level
  • Mastery of MS Office suite and familiarity with collaborative tools such as Jira, Confluence or Teams
  • Missile System Experience

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in STEM Field and 7+ Years experience
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance
  • Prior experience with Weapons Systems Deployment
  • Experience with Missile Systems Engineering
  • Technical experience in one of the following areas: Fleet operations, systems engineering, missile systems, Aegis Qualifications, etc

Security Clearance Requirement:

An active Secret security clearance is required for this position.​

Salary Range: $103,500.00 - $181,100.00
