Purpose and Objective:
Sparta Systems, Inc. seeks an Advanced Software Engineer at our Hamilton Township, NJ location to partner with product management, development, architecture, customer support, and professional services stakeholders to deliver quality features that enhance the experience of our customers.

Expectations and Tasks:
Maintain involvement in Quality Engineering activities associated with product releases. Work with a team of quality engineers to ensure the highest quality product delivery and monitor metrics to gauge progress against quality goals. Understand how all components and interfaces of the product work together and develop Quality Engineering approaches to fit the overall product architecture. Support product teams in ensuring high product quality through exploratory and functional testing techniques. Develop software test strategies and test scenarios, analyze test results, and maintain test suites. Develop automation scripts for validating the product User Interface (UI) and web services (API). Participate in defect reviews during the release process to ensure resolution and systemic root cause removal and support other root-cause analysis exercises. Act as a change agent within the Sparta organization to improve quality and agility.
Education and Occupational Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field of study and five (5) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation.
Qualifications/Skills and Competencies Experience:
Experience must involve five (5) years in the following:
- Software testing and quality assurance experience in an Agile development environment; and
- Creating and executing tests, including functional, regression, system, and integration.
Experience must involve two (2) years in the following:
- Maintaining test automation frameworks and scripts with Selenium WebDriver;
- Defining test strategies and test scenarios for multi-tiered web-facing applications and testing web services, including REST services; and
- Creating automation scripts using Java.
BASE SALARY: $153,005 to $181,000 per year

The annual base salary range for this position is $153,005 - $181,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
