We are looking for an organised and motivated individual to join our client's team as an Accounting Assistant. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience within a supportive environment and contribute to client-facing projects across various industries.


ABOUT OUR CLIENT

Our client is a full-service certified public accounting practice specializing in tax, audit and financial planning services and is located in Birkirkara.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist in the day-to-day bookkeeping tasks for assigned client portfolios.
  • Support with bank reconciliations, invoice processing, and data entry.
  • Help prepare VAT returns and assist in the submission of statutory documentation.
  • Maintain proper filing systems and accurate records.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet internal deadlines and client deliverables.
  • Contribute to ad-hoc administrative and accounting tasks as assigned.
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
  • 1-2 years of experience in accounting or office administration will be considered an advantage, but is not essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Fluency in English is required; fluency in Maltese is considered an asset.
  • An interest in pursuing a career in accounting or finance.
  • A good level of organisation, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
EDUCATION

A Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field will be considered an advantage.

WORKING TIME

Flexibility in starting time, from 08:00 till 09:00, 40 hours per week with 30 minutes break to be taken at your pace. Fridays till 15:00.
