ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an Account Manager to join our Automotive Electronic Products (AEP) team in our Logansport, Indiana location. Reporting to the Program Manager, the Account Manager serves as a key point of contact for assigned customer accounts, supporting the manufacturing, quotation, and new project (NPI) processes that keep our contract manufacturing operations running smoothly. This is an entry-to-mid level position, well suited to someone with hands-on manufacturing, contract manufacturing, or electronics production experience who is looking to grow into broader customer- and program-facing responsibilities.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Promote the Compal culture of Safety, Collaborative Innovation, Dedication to Quality, Continuous Improvement, and Integrity.
  • Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for assigned customer accounts, building strong working relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Support Program Managers with the quotation/RFQ process, from data gathering through proposal preparation, and monitor quote status for assigned accounts.
  • Provide new project (NPI) support, including tracking project milestones, coordinating with manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain teams, and helping ensure on-time execution.
  • Organize and enter customer forecasts into the business system to support effective capacity, backlog, and inventory planning.
  • Act as the communications hub for order status, including shipment timing, tracking, and advance shipment notifications.
  • Support phase-in/phase-out planning related to ECRs or customer product changes, including tracking of excess and obsolete inventory.
  • Partner with manufacturing operations to understand production status, capacity constraints, and delivery timing for assigned customer programs.
  • Escalate customer or program risks to the Program Management team as needed to support timely resolution.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in customer service, account management, or manufacturing support, ideally within a contract manufacturing or electronics manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, production scheduling, or supply chain concepts is strongly preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface confidently with customers and cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to work with data (forecasts, quotes, pricing, metrics) to support sound decision-making.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel in particular); experience with an ERP system (e.g., IFS) is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and adapt to shifting customer and project priorities.
