Cloudavize is hiring an Account Manager to own ongoing relationships with our existing managed IT and project clients. This is a relationship-first role: you will be the primary point of contact for a portfolio of approximately 25 clients today, growing toward 25–40 as we scale. You’ll be responsible for client satisfaction, retention, and identifying opportunities to expand services within your accounts.
You will work closely with our technical team, who will support you with scoping and technical credibility. You don’t need a deep technical background. We’re looking for someone who is organized, proactive, and genuinely great with people.
This is not a new-business sales role. You will inherit an established client base and become the person clients call when they need something, whether that’s a check-in, a project idea, a renewal question, or reassurance that things are on track.
What You’ll Do:
- Own the client relationship for an assigned book of approximately 25 managed and project clients, growing over time; serve as their primary contact for non-technical and non-ticket-related needs.
- Lead the annual technology assessment process for each client: coordinate the assessment, present the resulting document or scorecard, and walk clients through findings and recommendations, with technical-team support on assessment content.
- Maintain recurring meeting cadences with larger or strategic clients beyond the annual assessment, establishing and running regular check-ins where appropriate.
- Proactively stay in touch with clients between formal touchpoints rather than waiting for issues to surface.
- Identify and advance expansion opportunities, including additional services, seat growth, hardware and software refreshes, and new projects within existing accounts—often surfaced through assessment findings.
- Scope and quote opportunities at a high level in partnership with the technical team, then hand approved projects to the project manager for execution.
- Manage renewals and contract updates proactively, well ahead of renewal dates.
- Track client interactions, opportunities, and notes in the CRM.
- Log time in the PSA against relevant client and account activity, such as assessments, check-ins, and quoting, to support accurate client profitability reporting.
- Participate in new-client sales meetings for managed-services and project-only prospects alongside company leadership. You’ll be there to build early rapport as the future point of contact, not to lead the sales conversation.
- Coordinate with the technical team and project manager to ensure scoped work is handed off smoothly.
What You Bring:
- Relevant experience in account management, client success, customer service, sales support, business development, or another client-facing relationship role. Experience managing multiple client relationships or stakeholder groups is especially valuable.
- Experience in an MSP, IT, SaaS, professional services, or other B2B environment is helpful, but not required.
- Comfort learning the basics of IT and managed-services concepts, such as Microsoft 365, security fundamentals, backups, and endpoints, so you can have credible client conversations. We’ll support you with onboarding and access to our technical team.
- Strong organizational and follow-through skills. You’ll be managing a real multi-account book with recurring cadences, annual assessments, check-ins, and renewals, so it’s important that details don’t slip.
- Excellent communication skills and comfort presenting findings and recommendations to business owners and other stakeholders, not just IT contacts.
- Experience using a CRM such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or a similar platform, or the ability to learn new systems quickly. Familiarity with PSA tools is a plus.
- A genuine relationship-builder who follows up, remembers details, and makes clients feel supported.
- A proactive, dependable approach and willingness to take ownership of client outcomes.
What Success Looks Like:
- Strong client retention and satisfaction across your book of accounts.
- Completion of annual technology assessments across the client base, on schedule.
- Consistent meeting cadences with larger and strategic accounts.
- A visible, growing pipeline of upsell and expansion opportunities sourced from existing client relationships.
- Smooth handoffs to technical and project teams.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive base salary: $65,000–$75,000
- 401(k) and 401(k) matching
- Paid time off and parental leave
- Professional development assistance, we pay for certifications
