CropX, a globally recognized AgTech company, is looking for a highly motivated Account Manager to manage and grow customer relationships across the West Coast region. 

The Account Manager will be responsible for building strong, long-term relationships with CropX customers, ensuring they realize ongoing value from our solutions, and identifying opportunities to expand and deepen our partnerships. 

Important note: Candidates must reside within California central valley in order to be considered for the position. 

CropX is an innovative ag-analytics company enabling significant savings in resources and improved yields. The company offers a user-friendly, cloud-based platform that integrates data from in-house developed soil sensors with weather, imaging, crop, and other data sources. Our technology and machine-learning-based insights help growers make better-informed decisions, optimize resource use, and improve farm productivity. 

Responsibilities 

  • Own and manage relationships with CropX customers across California territory. 
  • Build and nurture strong, trusted relationships with customers and develop a deep understanding of their operations, business needs, and goals. 
  • Drive customer retention, satisfaction, and long-term value from CropX solutions. 
  • Identify and develop opportunities to expand CropX adoption within existing accounts, including additional products, users, acreage, and locations. 
  • Work closely with customers throughout the season to ensure value is being delivered and address evolving needs. 
  • Develop account plans and maintain an accurate view of account activity, opportunities, and growth potential in the CRM. 
  • Serve as a key point of connection between customers and CropX, bringing customer insights and needs back into the organization. 
  • Partner closely with Sales, Customer Success, Agronomy, Operations, Product, and R&D teams to deliver a high-quality customer experience. 
  • Support customer onboarding and adoption in collaboration with the relevant internal teams. 
  • Identify market trends, customer needs, and opportunities for CropX to strengthen its offering and presence in the region. 
  • Effectively manage schedule and travel while working independently across the territory. 

Requirements
  1. 5+ years of experience in account management, customer success, or a related customer-facing role within the agriculture industry, including experience working with growers and agricultural organizations in California. 
  2. Farming knowledge and/or agronomic experience, preferably in vineyard management. 
  3. Experience with AgTech and/or precision agriculture. 
  4. Strong commercial mindset, with the ability to identify and develop expansion opportunities within existing accounts. 
  5. Strong account and relationship management skills, with demonstrated ability to understand customer needs from both business and technical perspectives and develop trusted, long-term partnerships. 
  6. Strong project management and execution skills, with the ability to manage multiple accounts, initiatives, priorities, and stakeholders simultaneously. 
  7. Independent thinking, good judgment, and a strong track record of problem-solving. 
  8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both one-on-one and group settings. 
  9. Comfort with technology and the ability to demonstrate software products virtually and in person. 
  10. Working knowledge of CRM tools. 
  11. Ability and willingness to travel regularly throughout the territory, with seasonal spikes. 

Advantage: Experience specifically in vineyard management and/or working with vineyard customers.
