About Known
Known is not a dating app. Known is a matchmaker. Users join by doing a voice call with Known, we curate one match at a time, and we plan the actual date, restaurant included. No swiping. No endless chatting. Just real connection.
We're backed by Forerunner Ventures, NFX, and PearVC, and we've built a community of 10,000 users in San Francisco through parties, creators, and word-of-mouth. Now we're bringing that to San Diego.
About the Fellowship
We're looking for 2-3 interns to help support Known GTM across our launch cities. You'll be working directly with our on-the-ground team to shape how Known enters each of our launch cities social scenes, at events and inside the social circles that actually matter.
If you're deeply plugged into San Francisco and/or San Diego, and passionate about marketing, events, social media, or community building, this is for you.
What you'll do
Plan and host dinners, parties, and events that introduce Known to San Diego / San Francisco
Map the social landscape: who the connectors are, which circles matter, where the culture lives
Recruit users and identify influential students and creators worth bringing into the Known community
Create content for TikTok and Instagram that feels native, not promotional
Source and develop local partnerships with venues, brands, and organizations that fit the Known vibe
Who you are
You're extremely social and well connected in San Francisco / San Diego
People trust your taste and follow your lead
You understand social dynamics intuitively
You're comfortable on camera and making content
You're excited by startups, culture, and being part of something early
You're based in San Diego or will be there for the month of June
