Mark Frein is the COO at global employment platform, Oyster, and formerly their Chief Workplace + Strategy Officer. He specializes in distributed workplace and organizational culture and spent the last decade helping venture-backed startups build out their people teams. Frein is passionate about creating vibrant, engaging workplace communities. Prior to Oyster, Frein was the Chief People Officer & Head of Alumni Programs at Lambda School, Chief People Officer at InVision and Chief Performance Officer at Return Path. He holds a Ph.D in education from The University of British Columbia.
