Event organizers can now use Venue Cricket, a unique venue marketplace, to find, compare, and book group dining and drink packages at Chicago venues
CHICAGO, IL – May 28, 2012 – Chicago venue marketplace, Venue Cricket, which launched in January 2012, has now added restaurants and bars to the list of venues that can be booked through the platform. Event organizers can browse packages and complete the entire transaction online. The added inventory also comes with a revamp of the site’s interface, which is now faster, smoother, and more visually appealing.
“We decided to add restaurants and bars to the mix because there was no good way for individuals to book group parties at these venues online. Some groups can use OpenTable, but the service only accepts reservations for groups under 20 people,” said CEO and Co-Founder Ella Lief. “Also, getting package details can be a pain because they are often not posted online.”
With the addition of restaurants and bars, Venue Cricket has become a comprehensive ecommerce platform that can accommodate all categories of venues from art galleries to meeting rooms. The company’s mission is to simplify the venue search and booking process. “I think the new product line and the new interface will make our customer’s jobs even easier,” said CTO and Co-Founder Dmitry Grekov.
