It’s already been a big week for Austin tech. While two Austin-based companies acquired companies, another two were acquired themselves.
Perk.com acquires AppRedeem
Perk.com, an Austin-based loyalty rewards platform, is paying $2.5 million to acquire AppRedeem, a San Francisco company whose app rewards you with gift cards for watching videos that promote other apps. Perk.com reported AppRedeem revenues of approximately $3.2M for the 12 months ending June 30, 2015. [BusinessWire]
Mozido acquires CorFire
Austin-based payments platform Mozido now owns 80 percent of CorFire, whose digital payment software is targeted at mobile network operators. SK Holdings Co. Ltd. will retain its 20 percent share of CorFire in the deal, which was first announced last December. [Press release]
Blancco Technology Group acquires Tabernus
Atlanta-based Blancco Technology Group has acquired Austin’s Tabernus for $12 million. Both firms specialize in securely erasing data from hard drives. Tabernus President Khalid Elibiary is now Blancco’s Vice President of Customer Experience. [Press release]
Ultra/Standard acquires TextureMedia
TextureMedia is an Austin-based hair care media company formerly known as NaturallyCurly.com. It was acquired this week by Ultra/Standard, the multicultural hair care and beauty distribution company based in New York. The deal’s financial terms weren’t disclosed. [BusinessWire]
