Cannatech startup MassRoots to acquire CannaRegs for $12M
Denver-based marijuana tech and social media company MassRoots announced plans to buy another local cannatech company, CannaRegs, in a deal designed to benefit both companies. CannaRegs’ massive database of cannabis rules and regulations will grow MassRoots’ offerings for cannabis businesses, and MassRoots’ reach into other national cannabis markets will allow CannaRegs to expand deeper into markets like California. CANVAS Technology reveals world's first completely autonomous self-driving cart
CANVAS unveiled its long-awaited brainchild this week: a completely autonomous, self-driving industrial cart. The carts are designed to automate the transportation of materials in facilities such as warehouses and manufacturing plants. The Boulder-based robotics company launched in stealth mode more than two years ago, and this release marks the company’s first official product debut. [Built In Colorado]
French autonomous shuttle maker names Denver its U.S. Headquarters
Easymile, a French startup producing autonomous driverless shuttles, announced this week that it will make Denver its new U.S. headquarters. The company plans to launch an office at the Panasonic campus near the Denver International Airport. Easymile partnered with the Regional Department of Transportation in Denver last week to demonstrate its EZ10 shuttles. [The Denver Post]
Webroot expands partnership with San Francisco-based NinjaRMM
Webroot, the Broomfield-based cybersecurity startup, plans to expand its partnership with Bay Area NinjaRMM, which provides remote monitoring and management services for businesses. Ninja will integrate Webroot’s web-filtering tool and DNS protection tool SecureAnywhere® to better protect end-users and their systems. [InnovatioNews]
