Everfest acquires competitor, San Francisco's Fest300

Austin-based Everfest, the online go-to for festival news and community, announced Tuesday the acquisition of Fest300, a magazine highlighting the world's 300 best festivals from religious pilgrimages to EDM events. The two sites will combine under the Everfest domain and continue the annual Fest300 awards going forward. [Press Release]

 

TheChive lands deal with Royal Caribbean Cruises

On Tuesday, Resignation Media, operator of the humor and entertainment website theChive, shared it's recent deal with Royal Caribbean Cruises to distribute its videos on the company's ships. Perk sells Corona Labs after acquiring it a year ago

The Rewarded Engagement Platform, Perk, completed the sale of of Corona Labs, a 2D game and app development company, on Friday, Sept. 15, after purchasing it in 2015 for its large pool of third party app developers. Perk will continue a strategic partnership with Corona Labs, as the exclusive rewards platform for Corona’s community of 300,000 plus developers worldwide, and Corona's CEO Roj Niyogi purchased the company back from Perk. Turnkey plans expansion of four more office locations

Turnkey, the online developer for tools supporting rental property managers and owners, announced last week its plans to open four new offices in Fort Lauderdale, Big Bear, Puget Sound, and Boothbay Harbor. The expansion follows March's $10 million round of financing. [Austin Business Journal

 

Accruent acquires BIGCenter 

The Austin-based real estate solutions developer Accruent acquired BIGCenter, a provider of Integrated Workplace Management Systems, from Cushman and Wakefield, a global real estate services firm. Vista Equity Partner acquires security startup for $1.6B

Austin-based Vista Equity Partners reached a deal to acquire the Silicon Valley security startup Infoblox for $1.6 billion. Since the news of the acquisition, Infoblox's stock increased by over 16 percent, more than 73 percent higher than its stock value reported in May this year before news hit of a private buyout offer.
