TableSAVVY @ Chicago's Table 2012: Our Night In Pictures

After all of the success we enjoyed at the Built In Chicago October Launch Event (see my previous post VIDEO: Introducing TableSAVVY), the momentum continues...

Last Friday, TableSAVVY was invited to partake in Chicago's Table - a fine dining event hosted by our partner, Chicago magazine. The event involved 13 of the best restaurants in Chicago and 300+ "foodies".

TableSAVVY's Goals?

1. Get the word out about our partnership with Chicago magazine.
2. Sign up everyone in attendance for TableSAVVY.
3. Explain the TableSAVVY opportunity to all participating restaurants.

The Event

Just after we got our display set, the legendary Chef Takashi of Takashi and Slurping Turtle stopped by to introduce himself and ask questions about TableSAVVY. Booth setup working? I'd say so!

The general public was let in and River East Art Center provided an absolutely stunning ambiance. This was exactly our target market.

At first, everyone stopped by the restaurant tables to acquire appetizers. This played right into our strategy. "Enjoying the food tonight? How would you like more from the same restaurants via TableSAVVY?"

Eventually, the crowd made their way to our booth where we enthusiastically explained our business and let them explore the beta platform on iPad 3 and Macbook Pro. The number of people who loved TableSAVVY and signed up on the spot was overwhelming!

An hour into the evening, Rich Gamble, Publisher and GM of Chicago magazine, gave a speech thanking partcipators and provided our call to action when he said, "We're also proud to launch a new service and partnership with the Chicago Startup and member of the 1871 incubator - TableSAVVY. The TableSAVVY service will provide you with access to special offerings and experiences from participating restaurants in and around town. Stop by their booth to the left and speak with Sean & Jeremy to learn more." (pointing to our location). Safe to say, our booth was overrun 1 minute later!

Conclusion?

We finished the night with 300+ foodies and 12 new restaurants informed about TableSAVVY (happy to say Nellcote is already a partner), more positive feedback and signups from our target market than we could count, and an unexpected bonus with some curious investors! Next time you run into these guys at an event, be sure to stop by and ask about TableSAVVY!
