Productivity platform Superhuman announced its plans to acquire GPTZero, an AI content detection tool. GPTZero’s capabilities, including hallucination detection, plagiarism checking and AI Vision, will become available to customers through Superhuman’s AI assistant, Superhuman Go.

The amount of AI-generated content online has grown exponentially in recent years, and demand for authenticity tools has risen. Superhuman will leverage GPTZero to help provide the level of transparency users have consistently expressed a need for. It will combine its expertise in human writing, based on its 40 million daily users, with GPTZero’s specialization in detecting AI writing patterns to provide a more reliable and comprehensive view of authenticity.

“As part of the Superhuman AI productivity platform, we’re building an authenticity layer, and GPTZero accelerates our vision,” Shishir Mehrotra, Superhuman’s CEO, said in a statement. “Together, we’re bringing the most trusted writing tool and the most trusted AI detector into one platform, so that confidence in content becomes the default for writers and consumers.”
