Sprout Social, a Chicago-based software company, has announced a change in its leadership structure, effective October 1. The company promoted Ryan Barretto from president to chief executive officer.
Sprout Social provides social media management and analytics software, designed to help brands optimize their social media strategies. Its platform offers a range of services including publishing, engagement, analytics and automation, aiming to support businesses in enhancing their social media presence and effectiveness.
Barretto, who joined the company in 2016 as SVP of global sales and success, has played a crucial role in the company’s growth, including significantly increasing its annual recurring revenue. Baretto was appointed president in 2020 and oversaw Sprout Social’s go-to-market operations.
The company’s outgoing CEO, Justyn Howard, will transition to the role of executive chair, remaining actively involved in Sprout Social’s strategic direction and governance.
