Nomad Hub: Extending your network offline.
In today’s crazy social media world, there are social and professional networks online all over the place. When I look at how many connections I have with my online networks and professional networks, we're talking thousands of them! Most of them I have never seen before, or just know them online.
To give you some history on myself: I was an account manager at Microsoft for 5 years. The first 3 years I had customers I never meet in person. All communications were through email or over the phone. The last 2 years, I had customers that I regularly met in person, and WOW there is so much more you get from meeting up in person than over the phone or over email.
My original startup idea spawned from friends of mine who are "Road Warriors", and they explained how hard it was to be on the road 4-5 days a week, eating alone, having little to no social life. My idea was to help business travelers meet other business travelers socially. The Idea unfortunately needed a large network in order to succeed.
After talking to many potential customers about my first idea I realized many of the travelers belong to professional associations and there is no easy way for them to network with each other at home or on the road. They pay yearly fees to these associations, go to a few events, and meet up with some people at the event, but there was no easy way to find and meet up with new connections at home or on the road. Since the people in those professional associations have similar interests and jobs, this would be the perfect way to build your brand, finds new customers, and maybe even find a new job. Heck, I have been unemployed for a few months, wandering around like a Nomad looking at different jobs or people to connect with in Chicago that have similarities as me, there needs to be an easier way!
BAM!!! Let’s make an easier way for professionals (like me) to meet up with like-minded individuals in the associations and groups they already belong to! The Nomad Hub was then born to extend your professional networks offline to building stronger ties with people within your existing networks.

Nomad Hub helps users, and Professional Associations increase their brand/network/reputation by meeting up with acquaintances in existing social circles and new people a part of their professional networks.
Most people who belong to professional associations have a network that they don't fully utilize.
