Currently 80% of expedition providers do not have a website. Many of the existing websites are from "pre-web 2.0" (user unfriendly design, need to call to find out the price etc.). A number of decent trip providers have great sites but it takes a lot of time to go through each site, compare offers and pick the right one. Once one found the right trip, it again takes a lot of time to research various websites looking for tips how to best prepare for the expedition.
Our edge is to combine comprehensive, fast metasearch of kayak.com, and explorersweb’s model of immersion into specific segments of adventure travel community. We are targeting solely active travel: mountain climbing and hiking, sailing, safari and wild photography.
