Profound, a New York-based startup that helps businesses manage how their brands appear in AI-generated content, has raised $35 million in a Series B funding round led by Sequoia, with continued investments from Kleiner Perkins, Khosla Ventures, Saga VC and South Park Commons.
According to a news release, Profound will utilize the new funding to enhance its platform and expand its international presence. Its platform enables businesses to influence how their brand is represented in AI tools like ChatGPT, which reach hundreds of millions of users each week.
“We’re in the midst of the most significant shift in how consumers discover and research products since the dawn of the internet. AI assistants are becoming the new front door to every business. If you’re not showing up in those conversations, you’re invisible to billions of consumers,” James Cadwallader, CEO of Profound, said in a statement.
