Braintree’s full-stack payments solution includes a payment gateway, merchant account, recurring billing, and credit card storage.
Braintree’s solution has been proven to scale and support many of the most discerning, high-growth companies on the web, including Rovio/Angry Birds, LivingSocial, 37signals, Airbnb, Fab.com, OpenTable, Uber, HotelTonight, Heroku, Engine Yard and GitHub. Founded in 2007, Braintree is now processing more than $4 billion in annual credit card volume from over 2,000 merchants, and its rapid growth earned it a spot on the 2011 Inc. 500 List as the nation’s 47th fastest-growing private company. Braintree was profitably bootstrapped for four years before accepting a $34 million investment from Accel Partners in 2011.

With their highly anticipated IPO in November, 2011 and new product innovations like Groupon Goods, Groupon Reserve and Groupon Rewards, Groupon is a leading digital company in Chicago. Groupon has over 2,000 employees in the city and is a top digital employer in Chicago.
GrubHub is the country’s leading web and mobile food ordering platform that allows diners to find local restaurants available for delivery or pick up. Available in more than 300 cities across the US, GrubHub features more than 14,000 online ordering restaurants and, as the parent company of Allmenus, lists approximately 250,000 restaurant menus. GrubHub was founded in Chicago in 2004 and remains a privately held company. They have over 250 Chicago-based employees and raised $70M in two rounds of funding in 2011.

Mu Sigma is a leading provider of decision sciences and analytics services, helping companies streamline data-driven decisions. Mu Sigma works with top companies across multiple verticals, solving high impact issues in the areas of supply chain, marketing and risk analytics. With over 75 Fortune 500 clients and over 1,500 analytics professionals, Mu Sigma has disrupted the analytics industry by integrating the disciplines of business, math, and technology. The company raised over $133M in two rounds of funding in 2011.

Total Attorneys is a cloud-based service provider dedicated to assisting with every aspect of small and solo law firm management, growth and development. Total Attorneys’ goal is to help attorneys build successful law practices, better serve their clients and make more money while maintaining balance in their lives. Total Attorneys has developed a suite of apps to assist in client management, lead generation, billing and more. The company recently raised $15M in investment this May from Bain Capital Ventures.
