Meta Appoints New President and Vice Chairman

Dina Powell McCormick takes on the role with over two decades of experience in global finance, national security and economic development.

Meta appointed a new executive team member to help further its goal of fostering human connection through technology. Global finance veteran Dina Powell McCormick joined the team as company president and vice chairman.

The company is working to develop a physical and financial model to power future computing technology, including establishing data centers, energy systems and connectivity at scale. McCormick will serve on Meta’s management team to help spearhead its overall strategy and execution.

McCormick has over two decades of experience in the global finance, national security and economic development sectors. Her professional background includes leading various economic development initiatives, such as 10,000 Women. She also worked as a partner at Goldman Sachs and served in the public sector in roles such as deputy national security advisor to President Donald Trump. 

At Meta, McCormick’s work will include cooperating with the company’s compute and infrastructure teams to help the company drive positive economic impact, as well as developing strategic capital partnerships and expanding Meta’s long-term investment capacity.
