On a mission to establish a child-first behavioral development ecosystem in India, Gurugram-based Lissun announced its acquisition of Being Cares, a U.S. company using AI to map behavioral conditions, according to reporting by Entrackr

Being Cares operates a platform reliant on data from real-world causes and effects, leveraging AI-powered tools to provide personalized mental health guidance addressing over 40 conditions. The company’s co-founders Varun Gandhi and Abhishek Sharma have joined Lissun’s team as chief product officer and chief technology officer, respectively.

The acquisition will integrate Being Cares’ tech into Lissun’s clinical offerings. The latter operates Sunshine centers across eight cities in India to address child development needs. Being Cares enables Lissun to serve as a full-spectrum care provider offering both digital and in-person therapy services.

The company plans to expand the network of its Sunshine centers from 20 to over 200 within the next four years. Lissun will also enhance its AI-led support through its virtual assistant, Ray, helping parents across platforms such as WhatsApp.
