Introducing Personify Live: The New Web Conferencing Tool

Hey Chicago,

I wanted to take a minute to say hello and introduce myself and my company, Personify, which launched in 2009, based on technology developed at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign, where I’m a professor of electrical and computer engineering. You’ll be seeing a lot more of us around Chicago over the next few months.

So what are we all about?

We use the same technology that powers the Microsoft Kinect to overlay real-time video of a presenter onto a PowerPoint, webinar or any other desktop content. Our Personify Live product allows you to be an active, visible participant in your next conference call.

TechCrunch has more information on the technology here.

We just launched Personify Live, and the reception from LinkedIn, SAP and out other beta users has been great. We’re now debuting our product to the public, and we’d love for you to try it for free and give us your feedback. Plug in that Kinect you have lying around and give it a whirl at www.personifyinc.com/live.

We’re also excited to be joining Braintree on Thursday at the Chicago Enterprise Tech Demo Night.

Hope to see you there!
