Hebbia AI, a New York-based AI platform, has appointed Aabhas Sharma as its new chief technology officer to lead its technology and product teams as the company scales its infrastructure for the financial industry.

According to a company news release, Sharma brings over 10 years of experience in scaling startups and building technical teams. Most recently, he served as CTO of Found, and before that, he spent nearly six years at Postmates, where he led its delivery business and managed a 100-person team through the company’s $3.5 billion acquisition by Uber.

“I’m thrilled to join Hebbia at such a pivotal moment. The company’s already made huge advances in AI accuracy and reasoning, and now we have the opportunity to scale that innovation even further,” Sharma said in a statement.

The appointment follows Hebbia AI’s recent expansion, including the opening of a new office in San Francisco and the launch of its London headquarters.
