Cosmin Pitigoi has been appointed chief financial officer of Flywire, a global payments enablement and software company. Pitigoi will be responsible for overseeing Flywire’s accounting, financial planning and analysis, investor relations and other financial functions.
Pitigoi brings extensive experience in global payments, pricing, treasury, finance and investor relations to his new position. He most recently served as SVP in PayPal finance, where he led a global cross-functional team. Prior to PayPal, Pitigoi held leadership roles across a number of functions at eBay.
Flywire CEO Mike Massaro expressed confidence in Pitigoi’s ability to help the company scale its financial operations, optimize costs and strengthen its position in the global payments industry. Pitigoi’s appointment comes at a time of rapid growth for Flywire, as it continues to provide payment solutions for clients across a wide range of industries including education, healthcare, travel and B2B.
