Hacking Hangout @ Ordoro, May 8, at 6:30 p.m.
Women Who Code Austin will host their monthly programming study group and networking event at Ordoro, located on the 7th Floor, at 106 E. 6th St. Food and drinks will be provided. Coders of all levels are encouraged to attend. If you’re a beginner, the group can help you get started. Those who are more intermediate and looking for a challenge will receive problems to work on.
Customer Care Career Fair at LegalZoom, May 9, 10 a.m.
LegalZoom, the Austin-based tech company helping people with their legal needs for over 15 years, will host a career fair at their office. The company is currently hiring for customer care specialists. At the event, attendees will have the chance to tour the office and meeting with LegalZoom’s hiring managers. Please bring your resume.
Texas Data Demo Day (Partner Event), May 10, at 9 a.m.
The Data Coalition will host the Texas Data Demo Day on Wednesday, May 10, presented by Grant Thornton and in partnership with Open Austin. Agencies, legislators and open data enthusiasts will come together to discuss the benefits of open data and show how technology can help analyze and automate data processes. The event will be held at Trinity Hall, located at 311 E. 5th St.

The Austin TechBreakfast is this Thursday at Capital Factory. This month’s event will include speakers Ron Savarese of OutSystems, Josh Cross of Keep IoT Weird, Ankit Patel of PaymentBox and Shibu Thomas of Jingling Corporation. The event is free, courtesy of TechBreakfast’s sponsors.
RideAustin Data Analysis Hackathon, May 13, at 10 a.m.
Join Galvanize, RideAustin and data.world for a six-hour hackathon using a RideAustin dataset (to be released on data.world one day before the hackathon). Teams will be assigned, and each team can either create their own question to answer or use a sample question provided at the event. This hackathon will be held at Galvanize.
