Duravant, an automation technology company based in Downers Grove, announced its acquisition of the Matthews Automation Solutions division of Matthews International Corporation. The business to be acquired provides warehouse optimization solutions, which will enhance Duravant’s service for the food processing, packaging and material handling industries

Matthews Automation Solutions specializes in material handling and order fulfillment technology for omnichannel, e-commerce and warehouse operations. The acquisition will strengthen Duravant’s Material Handling operating group, adding warehouse execution systems as well as software, controls and integration services for those systems into its offerings. The transaction is set to close by the end of March 2026.

“We are excited to add Matthews Automation Solutions to Duravant’s material handling portfolio,” Raman Joshi, group president of Duravant Material Handling, said in a statement. “There is increasing demand and urgency from our customers to design warehouse systems that meet their ever-increasing productivity needs, and by bringing software and control systems in-house, we can broaden and strengthen our offerings to Integrator clients and deliver end-to-end integrated warehouse lines faster and more efficiently.”
