Cloud company DigitalOcean announced its improved platform, purpose-built for the inference and agentic era. Its AI-Native Cloud offering, which is currently available to customers, spans infrastructure, core cloud, inference, data and managed agents.
“AI has moved from thinking to doing, and that changes what builders need from the cloud,” Paddy Srinivasan, DigitalOcean’s CEO, said in a statement. “AI-native companies are no longer building simple applications that make a single model call; they are building distributed, stateful, multi-agent systems that need infrastructure, inference, data, orchestration and agents working together.”
DigitalOcean’s goal is to help development teams iterate faster, scale production AI and devote more attention to their products rather than disjointed infrastructure. New capabilities correlating to the AI-Native Cloud’s stack include inference routing, the ability to run custom and fine-tuned models on an OpenAI-compatible API, more than 70 open-source and frontier models, knowledge bases and a fully managed vector database.
