CynLr, a deeptech robotics manufacturer headquartered in Bengaluru, announced a $10 million Series A funding round led by investors Pavestone and Athera Venture Partners. The company leverages visual object intelligence technology to allow industrial robotic arms to manipulate any object in unstructured environments.

The company developed a three-armed modular robotic system called CyRo. The device has converging lenses that enable it to sense the depth of unknown objects. CynLr’s flagship product can be configured for complex manipulation tasks, such as inserting a screw. CynLr operates a 13,000-square-foot robotics lab in Bengaluru that can host a hive of 25 robotics systems, a number it plans to more than double by 2026.

Backed by its fresh capital CynLr plans to expand its manufacturing capacity, enhance its hardware reliability and improve its software performance. Alongside investing in R&D to build more complex product applications, CynLr is expanding globally to double its 60-person team. The company is hiring across research and software development, business and operations as well as marketing and sales roles in India, the United States and Switzerland.
