This week in my HTML/CSS class at The Starter League we learned about a cool website called dribbble (yes it has 3 b's). Web designers use the site to upload screenshots of cool designs they're working on. Our assigment was to replicate four "dribbble's" as accurately as possible. The trick was that we couldn't use Web Inspector since each section is a screen shot, so we really had to use our web design knowledge to recreate each one. I loved the exercise and think I'll continue to tackle more dribbble's in my spare time.
Our instructor Shay has given us the incredibly awesome task of helping out his friend Dan to rebuild his website for his fishing shop. Today is Dan's 70th birthday, and we all want to help keep Dan is business and stay profitable. I am excited to have an actual client to design a website for. I just hope Dan likes cupcakes as much as he likes to fish.
Some friends introduced me to an amazing cupcake bakery this past weekend, Molly's Cupcakes. I love that they offer unique flavors like butterscotch caramel, peach cobbler, and blueberry cheesecake. I had the Boston cream and that was pretty tasty. The best part is the sign near the register that says "Don't snorkel with your cupcakes". I agree, it would be in bad form to snorkel with any kind of baked good. You can check Molly's Cupcakes out here: https://www.mollyscupcakes.com/
