Users can receive Amazon.com e-gift cards, cash for their gift cards
Responding to its explosive second quarter growth, CouponTrade.com, the first consumer-driven gift card marketplace is now offering its users more user-friendly payment methods. With the move, consumers will now have the option to be paid through an Amazon.com e-gift card, a check or through PayPal. These new options are a response to the amount of new users who have chosen the marketplace over its gift card exchange competitors.
“We started ramping up these new features once we saw how quickly new users and new listings were growing,” CouponTrade CEO George Bousis said. “Users now have the option to choose their method of payment, making it easier to cash in on the $20 billion worth of gift cards lost annually in the United States.”
CouponTrade users will now have an option to become a PayPal or credit card verified seller, enabling them to use all of the options when they access their account. This one-step process makes verification easier and faster, allowing users to spend more time on the site browsing for discount gift cards.
The site is working towards additional ways to help its users get paid directly, including an ACH credit transfer, to eliminate the risk of checks being lost. Recently, CouponTrade beat out its gift card exchange competitors in terms of U.S. traffic rank and is now working towards strategic partnerships to get customers an incentive for using the Amazon e-gift card payment option.
