Sarah Wagener has joined Chime as the chief people officer. With over two decades of experience in recruiting, diversity and people leadership roles at companies including Genentech, Facebook, Pandora and DoorDash, Wagener will focus on scaling and expanding the impact of Chime’s employee experience team.
Before joining Chime, Wagener founded Lucky 13 Advisors, where she helped first-time people executives develop leadership skills. She also served as CPO at DoorDash, where she grew the company’s people and culture strategy and led it through an IPO. Chime hopes to leverage Wagener’s experience and expertise to empower its team members and enhance their collective capacity to better serve Chime’s customers.
Chime is a financial technology company that aims to provide helpful, easy and free banking services. It does not rely on consumer fees such as overdraft, monthly service or minimum balance fees. The company works in partnership with several banking institutions to power the bank accounts Chime members use.
