Austin-based CertifID, a company specializing in wire fraud protection, recently pulled in $47.5 million in venture funding. The Series C round, led by Centana Growth Partners, will help CertifID add new platform features and grow its team.
CertifID provides software solutions, insurance and recovery services to customers like law firms, home buyers and real estate agents. To date, its platform has helped prevent $1.3 billion in losses and verify more than 1 million mortgage payoffs. The company has also returned over $100 million to victims of fraud.
“Most business owners don’t realize what they are up against: The increase in sophistication and frequency of attacks in the age of AI is alarming,” Tyler Adams, CertifID’s co-founder and CEO, said in a statement. “This funding enables us to remain focused on innovation, staying ahead of emerging threats as we scale. Our team is setting a new standard for protecting life-changing transactions.”
Backed by the fresh funding, CertifID will expand its platform’s identity verification, transaction monitoring and secure payment capabilities. The company will also focus on rolling out new security features and expanding its partnerships.
