Burton History Trees : Introduction to Built In Chicago

I think its fair to say that Burton History Trees started circa 1989 in the bathroom of Bones, a Lincolnwood, Illinois restaurant that my family frequented.  Bones' men's room was small with all of the basics with the exception of this wild and crazy framed piece of art that looked like a tree but was really just a collage of names, images and sketches of everything Chicago Cubs.  It totally blew me away.

Years later I would come to realize that my high school swim coach was in fact Bruce Burton, the artist of that piece as well as dozens of other similarly styled lithographs of the histories of Music and Sports, and in 2007 I determined I wanted to make it my life's work.

Burton History Trees is the culmination of Bruce's life as an artist.  T
