July’s top five Austin funding rounds raised a combined total of $36 million. Tiff’s Treats, a dessert-delivery startup, raised the biggest round of the bunch, with a $15 million investment. Read on for the details on each of this month’s biggest fundings.

 

#5. $3 million, July 13

The grief wellness startup turns cremated ashes into diamonds. Since the pandemic began, the company has also begun helping funeral homes streamline and digitize their operations. Springdale Ventures led the seed extension round.

 

#4. $5 million, July 6

OnlineMedEd’s platform helps student physicians pass their board exams virtually. It’ll use the funds to develop new partnerships with healthcare organizations, creating informative articles and videos, and also to update its user experience.

 

#3. $6 million, July 22

Silverton Partners led the Series A for this startup, whose at-home care service for seniors run on a data-driven tech platform. The Helper Bees plans to use the new funds to expand insurance partnerships. so the company can provide more affordable services.

 

#2. $7 million, July 21

HSBC led the Series A funding for this financial technology provider. Already operating in Tokyo, Singapore and London, leadership plans to use the new investment to continue the startup’s global expansion.

 

#1. $15 million, July 8

The top spot this month went to Tiff’s Treats, an on-demand cookie and brownie delivery startup that will use the cash infusion to hire and expand into new states. Morgan Stanley Expansion Capital, Venturi Capital and more contributed to the investment.
